Hi! I’m Franny, and I am a freshman in high school. I have been a student at Movement City for three years. I have participated in every workshop Movement City offers. I’ve danced, rapped, and created both digital and traditional art. These last three years in the program have been the best of my life, Movement City has watched my confidence grow.

The inspiration for this logo came from my connection to the Movement City building itself specifically, the way the bricks are arranged. The word “community” also reminded me of my own community at Movement City. I chose to depict hands because I feel it is the simplest way to represent the community of Lawrence. “Built by Labor Powered by Community” it’s a title that represents that only the people that you’re close with are the people that support you and your creations.
