VOLUNTEER
Volunteers help keep the legacy of the Bread & Roses Heritage Festival alive! Whatever your interests may be or whatever level of experience you may have, we have a role for you! We have two volunteer trainings before the Festival as well as a list of potential roles below.

VOLUNTEER ROLES
Early Set Up
Stages, tents, seats, tables, etc.
Lawrence History Live
Assist in set up of speakers' tent, materials, seating, ask for donations, provide water
Master of Ceremony
Public speaking experience required.
Welcome audience, introduce performers, ask for donations, announce special events, etc.
Donations
Collect donations from the audience at each stage
Stage Manager
Work with MC, keep performances on time, help performers with set-up and transition to next act, provide water, etc.
Assisting Portrait Artist, Ed Bray (Ushers)
Assist portrait artist with line of people to be drawn, keep space open for artist to work
Volunteer Coordinator Assitant
Assist in tracking volunteers and materials
Information Tent
Giving out maps, programs, sell merchandise
Program
Hand out programs throughout the audience at each stage
Environmental Team
Assist Environmental Team Chair in park maintenance, emptying recycling bins, notifying DPW of trash levels, clearing grass and pathways of trash
Vendor Chair Assistant
Assist in checking on vendors, ensuring placement in assigned space, etc.
Security at Main Stage
Security or relevant experience required.
Guard artist belonging and changing tent at main stage.
Break Down
Assist in take down of stages, tents, tables, chairs, etc.
